About Me

Hi neighbour, my name is Lucas Alves, and I’m running to be our next councillor in Ward 7. Our community deserves leadership that understands what families face every day. I am a husband, a father and Vice-Chair of the Peel District School Board, where I’ve helped manage a $2.2 billion budget, make tough decisions and protect student services during deep provincial cuts to education.
 
Ward 7 stands at a crossroads. We see it in the Hurontario construction mess, growing concerns about community safety, rising property taxes and development that too often feels out of step with our neighbourhoods.
 
As your next councillor, I’ll put Ward 7 residents first by keeping taxes under control, fixing what’s broken, stopping careless overdevelopment and making sure growth works for the people who live here. I love this community, and I’m ready to work hard for all who call Ward 7 home.
